what does "down with the capitol" mean?

i thought that this was pretty obvious. it has no latin root, as far as i’m concerned (like “panem et circenses”) if that’s what you’re trying to aim for. it was the rebellion saying, “down with the capitol!” :/ i don’t know how much more obvious that this could’ve gotten.

if i’m wrong, someone help me out here, because just yeah.
